Generation 3 RoboBrew is now here!
The latest upgrade features numerous updates and upgrades on the previous versions — and for a lower price. At the core of the new Gen 3 RoboBrew is a vastly imporved control panel that allows users to program custom steps for their mash, but there are many more new features. A change in distributor (now KegLand) has meant that the new RoboBrew is also significantly cheaper than its predecessor, with early buyers paying as little as AUD$369.
Programmable Control
The programmable control lets users set up to six different timed temperatures — perfect for a stepped mash to maximise efficiency and more closely control your end product with a mash-out to stop enzyme actions. This means you can hone in on your recipes and create repeatability from batch to batch. The programmable control also lets you set a delayed start for your brew. Perfect if you want to set your RoboBrew the night before to pre-heat your mash water a few hours ahead of a morning brew.
Temperature Calibration
The new RoboBrew allows users to adjust the temperature reading from the temperature probe, which is useful should you determine that its out-of-the-box reading is inaccurate.
Camlock Sparge Arm
The sparge arm is now easily connected and disconnected with a standard homebrew camlock fitting. Not only is it quick and easy to create a water-tight seal, but it also allows you to fit other hoses and accessories to the line, which is great should you wish to pump your wort through a chiller plate, couterflow chiller or into your fermentation vessel.
Double Mesh on Malt Pipe
A second finer wire mesh screen has been added to the base of the malt pipe in addition to the push screen that was previously standard. This simple addition not only makes small fragments of grain less likely to fall through into the mail boiler, but it also reduces the likelihood of a stuck sparge by preventing chunks of grain from blocking up the larger holes in the punch screen.
Water Resistant Controls
The buttons and control panel offer reasonable protection against spillages or boilovers.
More accurate measurements
The volume markings on the RoboBrew have been redesigned to remove some inaccuracies that were present in the previous version.
